Was coding in the VS code extension when opus 4.6 extended started looping saying “I am going to implement it now” OVER AND OVER again. This went on for a while before I noticed it so I stopped the response to save tokens. This is something that I would have expected from a low parameter model without a system prompt, but claude? I gave in and got a refund. They fought for a while but I made a new ticket and they issued it right away. The trick was selecting “Performance” when prompted from the chatbot.
