Getting married next year and have a dilemma on who to choose as best man. There are two clear candidates: Best mate - I’ve known him since childhood. We have travelled the world extensively together and even relocated to a different country together. I trust him with my life and would call him if I ever had an issue I needed help with. My brother - Always been close. He is the younger, better version of me. Super proud of him and if I wasn’t so close with my mate he would be the obvious choice. The kicker is that my friend is getting married a week after me and I know that he is choosing me as his best man. I have consulted my mother on this and she has said that my brother would be honoured but also wouldn’t be upset if I pick my mate. I’m leaning towards picking my mate. Very difficult for me.
