So, I was wondering how common my current situation is regarding my changing preferences for women. You see, when I was 17 and in high school, I had a specific type of girl, like anyone else. I had my preferences in what attracted me physically to someone, in this case, a girl: tall, curvy, and with long hair. At that time, she was my ideal type. Towards the end of my second year, a friend introduced me to a friend of his, so we could see if something would develop. To be honest, at the time, while I thought she was pretty, I wasn’t instantly crazy about her. But after a few weekends of dating, I gradually started to like her, until finally, on one of those dates, we went to the beach to swim. There, my brain went into overdrive when I saw her in a swimsuit. Since then, she became my standard for what I look for in a girl: short hair, petite, and slim. Although years have passed and we no longer have any contact due to several mistakes on my part, she remains my ideal type of girl, and I can’t look at any other girl with these characteristics without them being the epitome of feminine beauty. submitted by /u/United-darnik-5437

Maybe the short hair girl was always the “standard” and you didn’t realize it or were fooling yourself earlier.

Edit: replied before I realized this was a stupid reddit bot post.
