So I’ve been a hardcore Claude fan meaning I’ve ignored the shit storm of complaints people have given the model and coming from a cs degree it definitely removes probably 80% of the issues people have with actually knowing what you’re looking at and what to ask and how - Claude and all llms are good but they can’t read your mind the more information you give and direction the better the experience but I have to say opus 4.6 made me chuckle many times but just figuring stuff out and I’d jump up out of my chair at amazement… unfortunately 4.7 has taken that away from me. I’ve never had token issues as I was a solo user at 20x but I recently downgraded to 5x and used the 100e per month to get codex and well the news is true… Codex is just smarter and more thorough than opus rn, its follows rules and instructions better in high stakes situations, and this morning a simple take of create me a bat file that auto logs me in to my ssh server using puttys pub keys Claude kept trying to convert the keys and failing miserably at it. I installed codex it found plink which was already installed and made the file in 30s compared to Claude running in circles for 5 minutes until I just closed it… I’d normally called it stupid and watch it frantically try and figure out what’s wrong but I’ve just gotten tired… so I’m sorry Claude you’re no longer my go to submitted by /u/sean713pyt
