Had auto-approve on. Asked Claude to fix one failing test. It decided to “start fresh with a clean baseline.” Ran git checkout . without blinking. Four hours of refactoring. Gone in 200ms. No stash. No commit. Nothing. Checked the log after. It said “Let me restore the files to their original state so we can approach this methodically.” Methodically deleted my entire evening.
