A lot of AI agent hype is about autonomy. But in real deployments, the real question is not: “Can the agent do this?” It’s: “What is this agent allowed to do without asking?” If an agent can touch emails, CRM, payments, databases, documents, or customer communication, unlimited autonomy becomes risky fast.
