Hi everyone, I’m planning a road trip from Lausanne to Ticino over the Ascension weekend and was hoping to get some advice from people who’ve done it before. We’ll be leaving Thursday morning around 8:00 AM by car, and I’m trying to figure out the best route to avoid the usual traffic especially around the Gotthard tunnel. Do you think it’s worth taking the Great St. Bernard Pass instead, even if it adds about an extra hour to the trip? Is it actually a good way to avoid congestion, or does it end up being just as busy during that weekend? Any tips, experiences, or alternative routes would be really appreciated! Thanks a lot ! submitted by /u/Ambitious-Area-8944
