i have two max accounts, dont ask why. i know this sub likes to go back and forth defending anthropic, then whiteknighting for codex, flip flop whenever theres any sense of shift in power despite all that i just stuck through with anthropic mostly because it just worked. i had a flow that was proven, there were issues here and there but just got over them. but this is now getting out of control. opus or sonnet now routinely ignore claude.md and mines not even bloated. i clear session before sonnet or opus reach not even 30-40% context level respectively sonnet is the worst offender of this. and there’s no stopping it. it’s happening across all my projects on both accounts no matter what i try to fix and opus just made up a postman url despite having all the tools under its belt to be able to give me the right thing this is more of a rant than anything, excuse me for the low quality post. i guess i just dont know if this is just yet another blip, or if this is a signal to rethink my commitment to anthropic it’s one thing to eat up tokens like a starving hippo, it’s another when the very fundamental capabilities are just not there anymore. when it routinely ignores claude.md , rationalize it with nonsense reasoning, invoke a skill and ignore using it with no rationalization, then say “you’re right, i fucked up and made up APIs because i didn’t read the skill”, theres only so much this can go on. what good is 4.7 and max effort and all this bling when it can’t follow simple instructions? submitted by /u/ordosalutis
