I’m gonna try to cut to the chase here. basically I’m an 18 year girl in college and planning to transfer (just context so it’s clear we have small classrooms bc it’s a cc). There was this guy in my stats class right I found him kinda cute and he doesn’t rlly talk much and also the class is just so lecture based there’s almost no opportunity to but that shoulda been the first sign tbh but since we followed each other on instagram I dmd him anyways something like “hey :) i know we haven’t rlly talked in stats but you seemed cool so i wanted to say hi, thought it would be nice to talk sometime” that’s it nothing crazy but he never responded even though he saw my stories afterwards, I sent it on Tuesday and by Thursday (today) he’d seen it and not responded. I was honestly scared he’d move seats since we always sit next to each other and it would be obvious. He sat next to me but he definitely has a gf bc in the middle of class he walked out and two seconds later she did also and they were gone for 2 minutes arriving back at the same exact time but they don’t follow each other on instagram or like when class was over they didn’t walk out together they went in different directions. And I also assumed bc he hadn’t spoke to anybody all semester and then that Tuesday she came up and started speaking to him I noticed as I was leaving. Anyways I feel very embarassed beyond anything I’ve ever felt because I’ve never been in this kind of situation before. I wish hed just directly said I’m not interested just to clear that. I feel that’s what I’d do or just a mature person, it’s so hurtful otherwise. Especially given we sit there every class. I thought I’d had prefered him not moving bc of how dramatic it would be but at this point I honestly kind of wish he would move and sit next to his gf considering that they get there before I do like and by the time I get there there’s no other seats to sit and if I move now It’ll be so obvious.
