I am exploring the usage of AI apps to improve my pronounciation in a foreign language. Unfortunately, it still seems to be a rather poor option. For example, it sometimes thinks i am leaving out words completely i very obviously did not. However, i also now that the microphones on smartphones, or PCs probably aren’t meant for such usage cases. I am willing to upgrade to a dedicated microhphone, but i am not sure whether the problem here is the poor function of the AI program or the hardware. I wouldn’t want to invest only to then that it didn’t change anything. I’d be very grateful for any advice on how to know whether this is a hardware or software problem. submitted by /u/PreWiBa
