The only reason Anthropic created max subscriptions was for data. The training data they got almost for free by giving the product away at cost. As the models got better (4.0, 4.5) two things started happening - ROI on more training data in terms of model performance started diminishing, and Anthropic started literally running out of compute. The only way Anthropic could leverage all that training data in a step change was by training a model way larger than Opus and that’s what Mythos is. But Mythos means more compute starvation and the end of good times. Rate limits are going to kick us bad, unless smaller models are distilled out. Anyway, end of rant. How are ya’ll dealing with the exit strategy? I’ve kind of gotten used to the nifty plugins and TUI features of Claude code. I end up using codex, Gemini and opencode alongside CC now. Super fkin shameless plug here : I use repowire (a tool I created) to make CC delegate out to the other agents submitted by /u/prassi89
