I’m 32, male, based in India. I’ve spent ~9 years working across tech, product, and operations — mostly in large, complex orgs and now part of a small startup in the advertising space. My educational background- Engineering+MBA- from a couple of the top colleges in the country, and most of my work has been ~project management~. On paper, my resume looks “fine”. No big gaps. But lately, I keep wondering: am I actually still relevant, and I feel that I am not. And I want to change it. Which brings me to AI. I want to become AI-ready , but not in the buzzword sense. I work in advertising, so I’m extremely skeptical of Ads that sell courses so that I can become an AI expert in 4 hours. I’m not looking for certificates either. What I am looking for is confidence that my skillset is relevant. So I am looking to speak with People who’ve actually upskilled using AI tools on the job What you started doing differently day-to-day Tools/workflows that genuinely changed how you think or work Mistakes you made early on What actually impressed employers or clients (if anything) Would really appreciate perspectives from people speaking from lived experience, not theory. Thanks in advance. PS. This post was written by GPT, apologies in advance if this felt to you like AI slop. submitted by /u/mined_it
