I’m not talking about accidents or mutual carelessness. I mean situations where one person may have been less transparent about birth control, more okay with the risk than they let on, or even hoping a pregnancy would strengthen or secure the relationship. I know one lady who, desperately broody and in her early 40s, pierced her long term situationship’s condoms and got pregnant that way.
Maybe it is rare but it’s definitely a thing. My “old fashioned” take is: don’t have sex with anyone you wouldn’t happily raise kids with.
