Hey everyone, I’ve been using Cline for my daily workflow at work lately. I’m still using the Claude Opus 4.7 model, but I’ve stuck with Cline because I feel much more “in the driver’s seat.” The visualization of file changes and the side-by-side diffs make me feel like I have a tighter grip on what’s happening to my codebase. Plus, honestly, I feel like I’ve learned a ton more about how LLMs actually interact with files and tools by managing Cline myself. However, seeing the hype around Claude Code, I’m starting to get some serious FOMO. Claude Code seems to have deeper native integration, and I’m worried that by sticking to a third-party wrapper (even a great one like Cline), I’m missing out on better agentic loops or “thinking” optimizations specific to Anthropic’s tool-use. For those who have used both: Am I putting myself at a disadvantage by staying in the GUI? Does Claude Code offer a significant jump in “intelligence” or efficiency that justifies giving up the visual control of Cline? Would love to hear if anyone else has made the switch (or switched back). submitted by /u/Cant_Display
