So basically I played a game back in the early 2000s. Buddies and online helpers helped recover it from the ground up. All we did was use the assets, like the textures and colours and buildings. But the background code is ours, it just links to those assets that we DO NOT OWN. The game has been dead for almost 2 decades. I do not own the rights to the engine we all helped build, its an open source project trying to recreate a specific time line in the game. Its now 100%. I’d like to have claude, swap all my old files in to unreal engine 5. I have done this part and can walk around and its basically the entire game but on UE5. Lets say I remove all assets we do not own. And replace every text, photo, model, armor piece, so nothing is related to the prior game, other than how the mechanics work. My main goal is, we love the game to death. We love the way it plays. And place in all new assets, would any of this be allowed, a googled it and seemed to think, if you tell vlaude how you tremeber it being, and. Ot a copy and paste, its fine. What are your thoughts? Basically to start id wipe all planets and have 1 flat plain to ealk on. And just implement features from there that I liked from the original game. submitted by /u/nickwill86
