78% of Americans are at least somewhat satisfied with their lives. 31% say they are “very happy.” (different survey) I just don’t see how this is possible. I go to small parties with people in their 30s. Most of them are antisocial and barely even smile. Many of them are obviously miserable and make it well known. In my day to day work life it seems most are miserable and this has carried over to most of the jobs I’ve had. Anyways, do you think people are lying to themselves and can’t admit that they are unhappy? Or is 31% of the US actually “very happy?” What’s been your experience?
