So I work in a pretty high visibility job, and with this job comes some pretty cool opportunities. My wife likes my job and thinks it’s pretty cool but she can get jealous of some of the perks that come with it. And with this job, we get special privileges sometimes that not your average person would get to do.(Like maybe just see some extra stuff or get some behind the scenes stuff) Well this week, we got invited to tour the White House, Obviously I said yeah, and put my name up for it. Now here’s the issue, my wife and I have wanted to tour the white house for a while but just have never gotten around to it. So with me taking this tour, she’s REALLY mad at me because i’m doing it without her. I asked if she could come along but they told me it was strictly for work personnel and that at a later date they would try to do one that includes families. I REALLY want to go on this tour 1) just cause it’s the white house, it’s pretty cool 2) with it being a work field trip essentially, I bet we’re gonna get to see or go to areas that they wouldn’t let your normal daily visitor go to. Am I in the wrong for still trying to go on this trip, or do I need to get my head out of my ass and just back out last minute. submitted by /u/LilPeepsGhost
