Take a look at this account for example: https://www.reddit.com/r/codex/comments/1sxgx3l/with_this_setup_codex_is_far_better_than_claude/ Well, well, well, it’s banned: https://www.reddit.com/user/No_Parking4907/ If you look at many of their profiles, you might notice a pattern: a lot of them have very low account ages, or a long account age, but the account hasn’t posted until just a few months ago (bought Reddit accounts). They also do nothing but post about AI, unlike most normal Reddit users who might visit different subs once in a while. A lot of these accounts also hide their activity, which is a hallmark for bots. There are also bots doing nothing but hyping up Claude or their own business too, like that gos***-tech person. So it goes both ways. Now, I’m not saying all of them are sockpuppets, and I’m not saying any of what I said is a reliable way of detecting insincere accounts. What I am saying is that the volume of the complaints is abnormal and at least a huge part of it comes from irregular activity. If there are 30 accounts behaving irregularly, even if you can’t tell whether an individual account is a bot, you would be pretty confident that x% of them are probably bots. submitted by /u/DarkSkyKnight
