I primarily use CC. Usually sonnet and occasionally OPUS if I think I can benefit from deeper reasoning on a system. I’ve been, hesitant to try Codex. Had a bug I was going at for hours with Claude. Figured I’d try codex at it, because I have a plus plan. Ok it solved the bug. Back to Claude. Happened again in another recent session, couldnt resolve it with Claude. Codex finds it in one go, same as last time, and a proper fix. What am I trying to say? Nothing. Happy I tried it. Wondering what others experience is. Are people still using Claude for major things and Codex as a backup or is Codex a real contender for that position? Everything I’ve read usually points to Claude being “cleaner” yadda yadda. Wondering about other’s experience. submitted by /u/Fidbit
