Genuinely trying to understand how people are making Claude work in production for automation-heavy use cases… I’ve been experimenting with setting up automated flows (error monitoring → analysis → PR generation), and while it works technically, it absolutely burns through my Claude usage in just a few days… even on the max plan. It feels like for any recurring or event-driven workflow, you hit limits pretty fast, which makes it hard to see how this is viable in a real production environment. So I’m wondering: Using smaller/cheaper models for most steps? Only triggering on very high-signal events? Or am I just approaching this the wrong way? Else? Would love to hear how others are structuring this in practice, because right now it feels great in theory but tough to sustain cost-wise. submitted by /u/enbafey
