I’m engaged with a fiance. She’s genuinely very sweet and a great person so please don’t judge her based off this one instance. But she gets upset if I send my sister/mom money. I come from a poor background and I was blessed with the skills and opportunities to leave that life and I have a great career. So I support my family whenever they need anything because I remember when I needed help. Most importantly my niece and nephew, I was going to start a college fund for them and my girlfriend got a little upset. So I got upset and it was a whole thing. She believes as a husband and hopefully father, I should put my wife and household first and plan for our kids. I don’t expect answers so just looking for other experiences submitted by /u/OzymandiasTheII
