Claude Code 4.7 pretty much shit the bed this week. This is the first time I’ve run out of tokens. I have two and a half days left and I’m looking into codex. And I pay for the $200 plan, and it just burns them like I’ve never seen. I could go do 4.6, and I still get great product, and I’ve never even come close to running out of tokens. But now they are saying because I’ve run out of 4.7 usage, I can’t use 4.6 usage. I’ve spent this whole week trying to figure out the output burn. I’ve put a memory in: hindsight I’m rewriting my setting rules to output: concise but it just burns - so I can’t really try anything again till 2.5 days from not. And I understand growing pains, so here are ideas for fixes: 1. I’d be happy if the model was auto chosen for the problem. 4.6 should have auto-mode - it’s annoying that after burning though tokens - I have to go through a model that I have to go backwards. There is feedback loop that would help us optimize our output tokens. Or suggestions on large outputs that could help us optimize it as we go. If you guys have ideas to fix this issue, please post them. submitted by /u/kauthonk
