Maybe i’m an oddball here but i feel uncomfortable with the term femboy, and when people try to associate me with it. I’m not even flamboyant or girly, i have an alternative style with mainly black clothing, yet i get called one. i didn’t really think a label for it existed until recent years and interacting with tiktok/social media trends gave me a good idea of how people perceive feminine guys. the way self proclaimed femboys sexualize themselves and how people fetish them is beyond weird and i want no parts of that subculture. That and it feels infantilizing. i just do not see the hype around it and can’t understand the craze. i like to think i’m simply just a guy who enjoys some aspects of femininity. i don’t think a label is needed for that, especially one that has a lot of weirdness surrounding it. this is nothing against the ones who identify as femboys but not every androgynous/gender nonconforming guy is one. submitted by /u/itz_vampy
