Hey everyone, I’m new to Claude Code and want to build a Gemini Gem that acts like a “Claude Code instructor.” Basically something that can guide me on: when to use Claude Tools vs Plugins vs MCPs how to structure workflows how to keep token usage low how to break down coding tasks how to use subagents/skills without overcomplicating things how to apply Claude Code to real dev work (refactoring, automation, etc.) I’m looking for advice on: what to include in the system prompt what best practices a beginner should learn first how to design the Gem so it gives consistent, practical guidance any examples of good instruction sets or templates things you wish you knew earlier when learning Claude Code If you’ve built teaching‑style agents or optimized Claude Code workflows, I’d love to hear your tips. Thanks! submitted by /u/furqansafdar
