I was just tinkering around in a 2004 version of the game when I realized how good we have it now. I was laughing to myself thinking about how big a deal it was when that tree blocking the fairy ring by the ardy cloak was removed. Meanwhile, back in the day, new accounts had it ROUGH to get anywhere lol. The world was smaller, but it felt big because you often had to traverse parts of it, rather than using one of the many teleports we have. There was no home tele. There was no easy way for new accounts to even get to the other side of the map easily. If you wanted to do waterfall, fight arena, etc. on a new account - the best way to get there was through walking to Port Sarim --> Karamja --> Brimhaven --> Ardy --> walking. Want to do Waterfall today? You can use the lever in edgeville to get to ardy, you can minigame tele, use a games necklace right to barb assault… the list goes on. Nothing real of value to add here, but just reminiscing on how much things have changed and kind of missing the old days of needing to struggle a bit to route things. submitted by /u/CUbuffGuy
