So I thought I found my sweet spot with AI assistance during development, using GitHub Copilot (usually with Sonnet, Opus when needed) in “Ask” mode. I tend to prefer that mode because it keeps me inside the project, I don’t lose track of what’s in it and helps me learn new stuff. Anyway, the company I’m currently working with uses Claude Code. I’m struggling a bit trying to find a good compromise, but Code’s approach is completely agentic and even when planning its push is towards the agentic development. I can’t find a way to let it behave like Copilot in “Ask” mode. Any help would be greatly appreciated. submitted by /u/tekanet
