Everyone hates it when Claude Code hits the limit mid-task, leaving you with terrible choices. Your first option is to wait for the limit to reset, but then you spend 40% of your usage just to restore the context and cache because of the 1-hour TTL protocol. your second option is to run /clear and start from scratch, only to hit the same wall again.If Claude Code won’t grant extra free usage to complete a task like Codex ,I would at least prefer the option to “borrow” usage from my next session.
