I’m curious about men’s experiences: Imagine your first serious relationship in adulthood. How did you process it emotionally after it ended? Questions:
- How did you feel in the first days versus a few weeks later — if you ended the relationship or were the one being left? 2. When did the reality of the breakup actually hit — if it did, depending on whether you ended it or were left? 3. Did your background (e.g., long periods of isolation, limited dating experience before your first relationship ) affect how you processed it? 4. In your experience, do people ever come back after realizing the consequences, even if they initially wanted the breakup but were the one being left? 5. Do you think processing differs if it was your first relationship and you were left rather than ending it yourself? submitted by /u/Jessi93_
