Every time I correct CC on something or catch it repeating the same mistake, it immediately wants to “record this pattern” to memory. I usually just call it off. If something is actually important, it should go in a proper doc with clear references where needed. And Claude doesn’t even follow what’s already in memory half the time. It barely follows CLAUDE.md either. So what is the memory file actually accomplishing? Has anyone found a way to make it useful? submitted by /u/wall_facer
