I made the in retrospect foolish call that I did not really need a Smithing solve, since I wasn’t hugely interested in maxing. I had access to the coal bag, so surely I didn’t really need Tirra or Hotfoot – I could just smith the old fashioned way up to 89, all I needed for DFS and Torva. Little did I realize, going from 85 to 89 Smithing with Runite Bars needs 1300 bars. Which you can make 6 at a time, with coal bag and no fewer than 6 total clicks per run. I understand that Blast Furnace and Giant’s Foundry exist normally, but how is it reasonable that this is the rate at which the average ironman can train Smithing just doing it the way God intended? This isn’t just bad, it’s cringe. Actually smithing should be a viable way to train Smithing, call me crazy. submitted by /u/Rorshark
