I notice a pattern in myself where I’ll find myself revisiting certain relationships or environments; exes, friendships, workplaces, where I wasn’t treated well, and I’ll still be mentally recounting things, talking about them in therapy, working through it. Meanwhile the other people involved have probably just… moved on. It’s not that I’m devastated, it’s more like an annoyance at the asymmetry. Like I’m doing all this work and they’re just living their lives unbothered. Does anyone else experience this? Is it a personality type thing, an attachment style thing, something else?
