Middle aged, starting to raise children. I know what I wished I always had in a role model, mentor, father figure type role. But what are some things they have taught, shared, or instilled in you that maybe you could help pass on for someone who didn’t have that? I feel like I’m stuck sometimes, like lost and nowhere or nobody to turn to. Want to give the kids I’m raising the most I can, but I know I’m missing so much knowledge and experience in this way. Looking for anything from advice, ways to bond, memories made, skills taught, lessons that stick. Anything I can use to help be the person I never had for someone else. submitted by /u/hopefulagnosticism
