I realise this is an issue from both sides of the coin but I’m asking here as a woman (50) having just been ghosted by a guy the same age. I kind of thought it was a younger age group phenomenon! Online dating (taking a break from that now!). Connected early last week. Seemed lovely. We’d arranged to meet this week. Lots of very attentive, complimentary messages for a few days - green flags everywhere, ticked lots of boxes. To the point he actually sounded too good to be true. Lol. Definite withdrawal over the weekend and then straight up ghosting when I asked him to confirm plans for meeting up - I even gave him a get out saying absolutely understand if he’d had second thoughts, we all have stuff going on in our lives. It’s not hard to cancel politely on someone before you’ve even met them but now I’m just wondering what the hell. I know it’s not about me but it still sucks. Why would someone do that (I know no one can give me the actual answer!!) submitted by /u/Lost_Mammoth7273
