I kept hitting my 5-hour Claude Code limit after just 2 hours of actual coding. Mornings started with email/news, so sessions wouldn’t begin until ~10am—so I was locked out from noon to 3pm. Fix: Quick “hello/ping” to Haiku in Claude Code first thing, then check email/news. By the time I started coding at 10am, the session was already ~3 hours in—so after my 2 hours of coding, the 5-hour limit would reset and I could keep going. Perfect. To Automate: Create a cron job (Claude Code can do this for you or I can give you my repo) that pings on a schedule—kicks off sessions before I’m up and refreshes them throughout the day. It was a big help for my intermittent coding daily workflow. Even for all day coders it can help if you have it do the ping before you wake up. Anyone have other tips to stretch sessions further? submitted by /u/Dazzling-Ad-2827
