SRA is a sweet weapon that looks cool and is very powerful, but doesn’t feel fun to actually use most of the time. I’ve identified a couple issues with the axe that I think could be solved with a single change. Taking 40 damage at the start of every fight usually means eating up after 5 stacks to avoid deaths, losing even more dps than the stack rampup. SRA’s special attack is currently bugged and does not do as much extra damage as it should… as result the spec is nearly useless. Even if it wasn’t bugged, the spec would still be rather niche as the extra max hits / accuracy from the attack are outweighed by the time required to get back to 5 stacks. I think these could both be alleviated by a simple change… I believe that the SRA should only deal 20 damage for 5 stacks, but the special should still heal you for 40 hp . I could see this being awesome for the axe in a few ways: By taking 20 damage and then healing for 40 when using the spec, the weapon now has a way to generate hp at the cost of the time it takes to generate 5 stacks. This could be used to outpace chip damage, heal through mistakes, and even be used for things like heal-other to increase the skill ceiling for the weapon. By healing via the spec, the spec is now actually useful and the player is incentivized to use their soul charges rather than sitting at 5 stacks for an entire fight. This would create a gameplay loop of acquiring 5 stacks, consuming 5 stacks to heal through some damage, and then building up again. Bonus points if Jagex fixes the SRA spec bug and it actually does more damage… A spec that does great damage and also heals would be quite powerful indeed, something that a weapon of SRAs caliber absolutely deserves! What does the community think about this? Are there any issues with this idea that I’m missing? EDIT: Also feels pretty thematic that the “soul reaper” axe would reap souls and use them to heal you… just sayin submitted by /u/MTF
