I grew up in a large town with a population of about 60,000 and it felt pretty big. It was the only civilization in like a 30 mile radius; the next town (which has a population of 2,000) over was like a 45 minute drive to get to with no homes or buildings in between. After moving for college and internships, I’ve realized that living in a big city isn’t for me. After I graduate college, I’m planning on moving to a small town with a population under 60k and commuting to a big city like San Antonio. I’ve already done research and am planning on getting a mortgage for a small house and some land. For those who did something like that, how did it impact your life outside of work? Where I grew up, people would travel for hours to go shopping; living in a smaller area would exacerbate that. The dating pool would also shrink, but honestly, I don’t really care about dating right now. However, that might change. If you’ve done something like this, how did it impact your hobbies and social life? submitted by /u/HarukaKX
