With today’s Rendi Slayer XP rollback, I think it’s worth having a real discussion about consistency. If any form of tick manipulation is going to be treated as bug abuse because it delivers unintended XP rates and gives players an unfair advantage, then we need to be consistent. Plenty of players have used these methods for years to climb all the way to the front page of the high scores and secure some of the highest ranks in the game. Those accounts are now permanently cemented in the OSRS history books through mechanics that were never intended. Following that same logic, shouldn’t 1 tick weapon switching and 1ticking a Granite Maul into an AGS also be considered bug abuse? I doubt the Gower brothers ever envisioned someone stacking over 110 damage in a single tick with no realistic chance for the opponent to eat. And while we’re at it, triple eating was almost certainly never intended either. Why should players with faster clicks and better execution get such a massive mechanical advantage in PvP? At this point I’m genuinely asking, where do we draw the line? If Jagex is suddenly cracking down on unintended mechanics, they should be consistent across the board instead of selectively targeting certain accounts or content creators. Otherwise it just feels arbitrary. submitted by /u/DogConstant5949
