For a while I kept running into the same problem. A new AI coding tool drops, I sign up, spend an hour setting it up, and then hit the free tier limit by day two. Repeat that five or six times and it gets old fast. So I built tolop.space. It’s a library of 100+ AI coding tools where the whole focus is the free tier. Not just whether one exists, but the actual limits, how long a typical developer lasts before hitting them, and an honest score. What I didn’t expect is that I’d end up using it myself more than anyone else. Every time I hear about a new tool now I just check Tolop first before bothering to sign up. Saved me from a few tools that looked impressive but had free tiers that were basically trials. The comparison feature is what I use most. Pick two or three tools, see everything side by side. I used it last week to decide between a couple of extensions I was considering and it took about two minutes instead of twenty. It’s not perfect and I’m still adding tools and updating data, but if you’re someone who actually cares about what you get for free before committing, it might be useful. tolop.space if you want to check it out. submitted by /u/DAK12_YT
