One idea I’ve always thought would fit Old School RuneScape perfectly is an off-game Agility training system tied to real-life walking. Agility is already one of the most hated skills because it feels repetitive and mentally draining, so why not turn it into something that actually encourages players to go outside? The concept would be a “Touch Grass Initiative” where your real-life daily steps sync to your account through the Jagex Launcher or mobile app. 10,000 real-life steps = 10,000 Agility XP in game And honestly, this is way more realistic now than it would’ve been years ago because OSRS already has a mobile app. Phones already track step counts through Apple Health and Google Fit, so the infrastructure basically already exists. To prevent abuse: • Hard capped at 10k XP per day • Only counts legitimate tracked walking data from Apple Health / Google Fit • No stacking beyond the daily cap • Could require total level or quest requirements before unlocking This wouldn’t replace rooftop courses or Sepulchre, but it would give casual players a healthy passive alternative while getting people active in real life. It also fits the spirit of Agility way more than endlessly clicking rooftops for hundreds of hours. Could even expand it later: • Weekend community walking events • Cosmetic rewards or graceful recolors • Clan step competitions RuneScape players joke about “touching grass” all the time, so making it an actual feature would honestly be hilarious and probably one of the healthiest updates Jagex could ever add. submitted by /u/Reer_osrs
