Hi all, I looked on the reddit community and didn’t see a post about this, maybe I didn’t look far back enough. I admit I am very nervous if AI, just graduated college and started working at a construction firm. A project manager showed me what his AI can do and basically told me “We really dont have a use for you or financial analysts anymore”. Really shook me to the core and I havent slept since. I dont know if AI will or can truly take my job and too many news articles seem to be reporting that AI will be taking jobs. I dont know if this is true or if this is just them trying to get more money. But it all seems foggy and messy. Which news sources/sources/articles are most reliable when reporting AI news? Particularly, I would like to learn more what AI can currently do well, no so well, careers at risk and future careers at risk. Which news sources or authors to follow for reliable up to date news on AI impacts in workplace. As a financial analyst/accountant, do you AI experts think it will replace my role? How should I position myself so that I still have a job? submitted by /u/Soggy-Flatworm-4980
