I’ve been a long time Claude Max x20 user with my whole fine tuned setup and everything. I kept seeing all the complaints here but honestly it was working great for me for a long time. My old flow was heavy on planning with Claude, plus I’d call in Codex a bunch for reviews. Lately though Codex started spotting more and more real problems in Claude’s plans and code. Not sure if Opus is getting worse or if Claude just started taking our whole arrangement for granted. So I decided to give Codex actual coding work instead of just reviews and damn it’s so much better. It feels fresh, way less lazy, and way less convoluted. I dropped down to Claude Max x5, upgraded Codex to Pro, and now my flow is: Planning with Codex, reviews with CC. Coding with Codex Review, fix and merge with Claude Still haven’t figured out a good way to combine them more smoothly. The official plugin isn’t really enough. If anyone has an automated setup that makes them work together nicely, please share. submitted by /u/AIgeek
