I currently have the Playwright CLI setup in the Claude Code for VS Code extension. Its more cost effective and better at certain things than using the Playwright MCP. Same with the Supabase CLI. Can Claude Code in the Desktop mac app (using the regular CC chat interface not the built in Terminal), use the Playwright CLI to perform Playwright tasks? If i have both the Playwright Plugin (MCP) installed AND the Playwright CLI installed will Claude Code Desktop defualt to using the MCP of will it decide on the best tool for the task same way the VS Code extension does? submitted by /u/Josh000_0
