I have project where both frontend and backend are involved. I usually create separate session for claude code to run frontend and backend tasks. Sometime seperate planners and executors for each responsibility. I for planner I tend to use Opus4.7 and for executor I try to use Sonnet4.6 but switching the model once for any session makes the same model to get used all the other sessions. I need to get keep different sessions to use different model and possibly different efforts. Like one session running Opus4.7 xhigh and other running Sonnet4.6 medium.
