How do you interpret it when a man walks slightly behind a woman instead of in front? I realized I naturally tend to do this because I like keeping awareness of surroundings and blind spots, almost like a protective habit. At the same time, I know some people associate walking in front with leadership or confidence, and a few women have told me they actually prefer the man to lead the way physically. So I am curious: would a man walking slightly behind come across as thoughtful, awkward, distant, protective, passive, or something else entirely? submitted by /u/pukatm
