Okay, I feel like the answer is glaringly obvious, I know. But bear with me. The other day my boyfriend of 5 months asked me if I could flick the switch of the slow cooker before I left in the morning if he set it up. Obviously my answer is yes, absolutely. It’s not that hard. He went to work at 5am, and I’ve got the day off. I’ve gotten up and I’ve noticed he didn’t set the slow cooker up, and there’s just a high chance he forgot, or he just ran out of time. I was thinking of just doing it for him, so when he gets home at 6pm he walks into his house to dinner cooked. In my eyes it would be a bit of a surprise and a load off where he doesn’t have to cook after work for the rest of the week either. But my self doubting ass is thinking “oh maybe there’s a reason he didn’t do it” or “what if I fuck it up” and all that stuff. So, do I do it? I have to go back to my house so I won’t be here to babysit it, and I won’t be here tonight either coz I have to work. But he did originally want me to flick it on at a certain time so he was going to leave it all day anyway. submitted by /u/FindingDuckie
