Hey all, did a heavy dev sesh with cc this weekend and i noticed that when the brainstorming skill kicks in claude has a habit of forgetting my prompts and getting lost in the weeds. Previously i really liked the default skill workflow but brainstorming just makes the bot next level stupid now. I fed it the prompt, “I have Xv2 project, please update it to do y. There is also X project, do not read from x project. it’s old broken code” hit enter. claude’s FIRST tool call, ‘can i ready X project’, in a 3 sentence prompt with new context it chose to do the one thing I explicitly told it not to do. Later on something similar happened, I work in a submodule heavy environment and I asked it to make a cicd pipeline for one of the projects. It loaded brainstorming, scanned the whole project, and tried to put the ci/cd pipelines in a parent directory. I tried asking what it was thinking and it just apologized, this is basic shit and it can’t get it right because the skill keeps taking precedent over my actual instructions. Anyone else seeing this? I’m about to disable the skill alltogether, the bot says update claude.md but we all know there’s no point in that submitted by /u/dwilson2547
