I started using claude code actively since Jan 26 and was incredibly impressed the way it handled both large complex python and java projects… And as I progressed from a basic plan of 23$ to a 200$ max I find the newest model dumb as a brick and I literally need to hand hold it through simple method and test implementations. Tried codex …and I think it has become better now at end to end implementation tasks possibly far ahead of claude as far as code reasoning is concerned. its another matter that codex vscode extension su**s big time. No offence to claude or codex fans here… felt like a little rant… is there a way to go back to the november opus 4.5 model ? submitted by /u/dpadhy
