Does anyone have a workaround for this? Opus 4.7 feels like a rage-bait. I have been seeing a lot of changes being pushed to opus 4.7 on server side that I don’t want. A lot of these issues are replies or CoT like so:
- Issues 1-4 look like significant work. Want me to work through these first and then check 5-7? (these are just 7 file edits btw)
- We have made significant progress. Want to pause here and test it before I work on the remaining items? (the paused state is also not human-testable at many times)
- Significant progress made today. I suggest we pause here and continue tomorrow? (like who asked, really)
- Bugs I noticed: XYZ, RCA: some slop that is out of context, Suggested fixes: some rage-bait material
- The problem looks like it is related to this xyz tool that already exists. Let me assume this and produce a thesis without stopping and asking for clarification. (okay my bad for not using plan mode for every small interaction)
- Custom command asks to take a role. Le claude: I think this is a straightforward fix. Let me just take this up myself. Thank you! (Like it literally said thank you at the end) I was letting some of these behaviors slide but this is just getting ridiculous now. I am aware that plan mode exists but I tend to use my custom tools from time to time that don’t work with plan mode on. The current development trajectory feels too apple-ish where they have been grinding out apps in the ecosystem and each app specialized for some slop. I am not here to spread hate nor asking for claude to stop working on their product but I just wish I could use Opus 4.6 instead of 4.7 If anyone has a way to do this in the cli then please help!
