I feel like lately the complexity in runescape has been ramping up and I just wanted to put my thoughts out that I feel the game is starting to stray away from the simplicity that (in my view) makes it great. Examples:

  • New gem bag needs to be upgraded 4 separate times to get the best bag. I could understand maybe 2 upgrades but 4 just seems excessive?
  • Sailing is a much more complex skill then pretty much all others in the game.
  • (Thankfully knocked back by poll) the melee specific food proposal While I don’t necessarily think the gem bag or even sailing are hugely big deals, I do worry about the trend of things becoming more and more complex. Part of the reason I stopped playing RS3 was that the game just got so convoluted and whenever I took a break it felt impossible to get back into it without having to learn everything again. Curious if others agree, or if you think I’m an outlier and have completely missed the mark then that’s fair too. I could be wrong on this. submitted by /u/Peterisgreat
