My boyfriend and I moved in together and the last few months I have been paying all of the rent and utilities on my own. He keeps telling me he’s going to give me cash or send me money for his half but he never does. This makes me feel so uncomfortable having to ask if he’s ever gonna send his half for things like rent… i actually just stopped mentioning it after he kept blowing me off on different occasions. The rent is $1500, we initially agreed to do half and half He owns his own detailing business and he will sometimes get one car done and be home by 11 AM and just play his game until I come home from work. He does pay for things like eating out or if I need him to run to the store for something for dinner … but that’s about it I never thought he’d be blowing me off financially like this and I have tried to lightly mention it and he just says he feels he’s busy enough with work that he doesn’t need to find other work. I don’t know how to proceed with this as he gets pretty defensive We have been together almost 3 years but only recently moved in together submitted by /u/Sumthinreallyspecial
